I love running in the rain, especially when it's not too windy. It really cools me down. Jack, however, doesn't seem as keen today and running with the buggy is becoming more difficult by the day - he's a tank!
Will have to concede and spend some time on the stepper this evening. Perhaps it's for the best - 3 days left on the anti biotics. Military fitness starts Mon - can't wait!

My first post :)
This is not just a place for me to talk about my training, highs, lows and bumps in the road along the way.
My life has been blighted by eating disorders for longer than I care to remember. Being fit has been the one thing which has helped me keep those thoughts, feelings and behaviours at bay. As many people who have been affected by these awful conditions will know, it never goes away... always there on your shoulder, white noise that you can't turn off. Over the years I have come to learn that it is acceptance of the fact that the thoughts and feelings will never truly go away that allows at least some freedom. Running and being active makes me feel like 'me' - not anorexia or bulimia - just me. I don't use exercise for weight control and would not create a blog to celebrate the fact. If I am going through a relapse, I don't exercise. I am here because I am so driven to achieve my goal ... but I want to reach out to people suffering from these disorders who need support in any way I can give it, particularly those who have not felt able to talk to anyone.
On the other hand, it is in no way my desire to make this a blog about my eating disorder. I want this to be a fun, positive tool to help me on my way to my goal.
I hope anyone following me will find this an interesting place to visit, and anyone who wishes to get in touch please feel free to email.
